Rosicrucian authors of the 20th Century
Jan van Rijckenborgh (1896-1968) was born as Jan Leene in Haarlem, The Netherlands. He was one of the founders of the International School of the Golden Rosycross, Lectorium Rosicrucianum. In over 30 books he gives his vision of the modern Rosicrucian path of initiation based on the universal gnostic wisdom.
Catharose de Petri (1902-1990, birth name: Hendrikje Stok-Huizer) and Jan van Rijckenborgh were the spiritual leaders of the Lectorium Rosicrucianum. After the death of Jan van Rijckenborgh, Ms. de Petri continued to expand the international organization of the Lectorium Rosicrucianum and help guide its spiritual development.
